The brilliant Shutter Hub exhibition, STREET / FORM opened on Monday 9 September 2019, at POW! WOW! Rotterdam, Europe's leading street art festival, and I was so pleased to be there! Karen had already installed the show the previous week in our designated empty shop and she had (as always) curated it beautifully. The images were striking, clever, funny, bold and sensitive and the sequencing reflected that perfectly.
I was there to photograph the exhibition and launch event, and also to give free portfolio reviews. It was wonderful to meet many of the exhibitors, members of the local community and the incredible POW! WOW! artists and team.
I've put a few of the installation and event photos below, but you can visit the Shutter Hub blog to see more and read the full report on how it all went (spoiler: it went very well).
How cool is this? A POW! WOW! Light installation on the KPN building.
We had chance to have a bit of an explore around Rotterdam and it couldn't really have been a more perfect location for STREET / FORM - such a vibrant city with an eclectic mix of buildings.

Shameless hotel window reflection selfie. I imagine people behind that mirrored glass being quite amused.
STREET / FORM investigates photography’s relationship with the urban landscape and street culture. The juxtaposition of shape and form, the encounters with the unknown, the intimacy with strangers. 70 photographers from around the world find inspiration in the street.
There's a new, really exciting call for entries up at Shutter Hub, called Postcards from Great Britain - it's a great project involving pop-up exhibitions in Europe, an archive, a catalogue and collectible postcard sets. The first deadline is 30 November with further entries possible until the end of 2019. Find all the details and get involved here.
