It's been a busy ol' summer and I haven't had much time for blogging, but I wanted to let you know about the current Shutter Hub exhibition with Festival Pil'Ours in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, France: 'Time to Think'. Opened in July and originally scheduled to close at the end of August, we're really pleased to have been asked to extend it until 30 November, due to popular demand! Time To Think includes the work of 145 female photographers from across 15 different countries, and a total of 435 images.
As project manager for Shutter Hub I went over for the opening event, at which we were joined by some of the exhibitors who had travelled from Italy, The Netherlands and the Ukraine as well as visitors from France. I took photographs of the installation and of the lively launch event too.
You can see more photos and read all about the exhibition on the Shutter Hub blog.
I'm also really pleased to be showing some work there myself:
Shutter Hub currently have two Calls for Entry that are ending soon - one on the theme of Home at The Gallery at Home in Wales, raising money for Crisis UK, Shelter Cymru and the Toiletries Amnesty, and another on the theme of STREET / FORM, which will be part of POW! WOW! Rotterdam, Europe's biggest street art festival.
Visit the Shutter Hub website to find out all the details and see the names of all the exihibitors.
