Last year I was fortunate to accompany a small team from the Goldsmiths’ Foundation on a visit to the flagship studio space of AT The Bus, one of the Goldsmiths’ Foundation’s inaugural grants programme recipients. Our visit was during a special two-day project led by Eliza Higginbottom, an artist, sculptor and jeweller who is a former pupil of the school and a Liveryman of The Goldsmiths’ Company, which I photographed to illustrate a feature by writer Fiona Thompson, who I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside many times before.
It was lovely to spend the day with the team from the Goldsmiths’ Foundation, spend some time in the fantastic studio space, learn about the impactful work AT The Bus are doing and how a converted double decker bus became a safe space for school pupils in Oxford.
Below are some of the photographs from the day, and I encourage you to read the article, Going places: Goldsmiths’ Foundation award funds innovative school-based art as therapy project, to get the full story.
