Earlier in the year I was really pleased to be commissioned by The Leathersellers’ Company to accompany writer Ellie Broughton to the Wilderness Foundation in Essex. I was photographing to illustrate an article they were putting together that explores how the Wilderness Foundation and another charity, Dandelion Time, use nature to address adverse childhood experiences and inspire positive change.
It was wonderful to work with Ellie, to meet the fantastic team at the Wilderness Foundation, spend some time exploring their woodland and get an insight into the unique ways they give children and young people opportunities to experience nature therapy.
Below are some of the photographs from the day, and I encourage you to read the article, Seeing Growth: Using Nature to Address Adverse Childhood Experiences and Inspire Positive Change, to get the full story.
