My New Website

October 14, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

If you're reading this blog, chances are you've noticed it's on a slightly different site! After a couple of great years with Photoshelter I've decided to move to Zenfolio. Photoshelter have been excellent but having used Zenfolio for my other site, www.jayneheather.com, I found there were a few features that just worked a little better for me with Zen. Hopefully it won't be too dramatic a change, but if you have any comments or questions do get in touch!

Here are the highlights:

Portfolio and Featured Galleries: This has given me the perfect opportunity to have a bit of a spring clean, so I've put together a new, tidier portfolio and featured galleries section. This should give you a flavour of the type of work I do, but as always, if there's something specific you'd like to see I'd be happy to put a bespoke gallery together for you.

I've also created a new Tearsheets and Exhibitions section where you can see the work in use.

Improved gallery URLs: On my old site, individual gallery URLs were in the format jaynelloyd.co.uk/lotsandlotsofrandomnumbersandletters - now I can customise the gallery URLs fully so they can be something we can all actually remember!

Better integrated blog: Although I had a blog on my old site, it was actually a Wordpress blog that fed through to the site, and I was never really happy with the way that looked. Now I can use Zenfolio's built-in blog feature to do my blog posts, and they sit within the site much more neatly.

I hope you like the new site - it would be great to hear your thoughts on how it looks/works/feels so do get in touch with any comments.

I have contacted all clients to let them know the new details but if you need any further help at all do let me know.

I am a freelance photographer based in Essex. If you are interested in working with me please get in touch - it would be great to discuss your project and see how I can help.
